For creators + practitioners

Two tracks. Both review-gated. Both share equally in the editorial desk.

Last updated · April 25, 2026

Avafem invites a small, vetted set of clinicians and wellness creators to publish on the Editorial desk and (for clinicians) to take patient handoffs through the partner network. The bar is high on purpose — every Avafem reader should be able to trust a byline at a glance.

Two tracks

Track 1 — Clinician / Practitioner

Licensed OB/GYN, dermatologist, registered dietitian, pelvic-floor PT, perimenopause specialist, sleep clinician, and adjacent. Verified bylines. Optional patient referrals via the partner network.

  • Active state license + NPI on file
  • Public profile with handle + bio
  • "Verified Practitioner" badge after editorial review
  • Editorial co-authorship + practitioner referral fee

Track 2 — Creator

Wellness writers, RDN-trained nutrition educators, community moderators, lived-experience storytellers. No license required. Every post still passes through the medical-claims filter + practitioner review before publish.

  • Public profile with handle + bio
  • Curated picks anchored to your essays
  • Per-piece honorarium
  • Affiliate share on attributable orders

How review works

  1. You submit a short application with two writing samples and, for the practitioner track, your license + NPI.
  2. Editorial reviews within ten business days. We respond either way — if we decline, we tell you what would change our mind.
  3. On approval we provision your CREATOR or PRACTITIONER account on Avafem, set up your handle, and pair you with an editor.
  4. Your first piece runs through the standard draft → review → publish pipeline. Practitioners co-author the practitioner byline when the topic warrants clinical authority.

What we won't publish

  • "Cure / treats / heals" claims — the medical-claims filter blocks these on every surface, including editorial.
  • Dosage prescriptions for individual readers. Aggregate ranges are fine; individualised regimens belong in a consult, not a marketplace post.
  • Anything that requires the reader to skip clinical care.
  • Affiliate-only writing. Posts must teach something regardless of whether the reader buys.

Apply

Email partners@avafem.com with a one-paragraph pitch, two writing samples, and (for the practitioner track) your license details. We aim to reply within ten business days. For general questions, see /contact.
