This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage Avafem LLC uses on avafem.com. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We also use your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way.
Essential (always on)
These are needed for Avafem to work, so they can't be turned off:
- Sign-in and security (Clerk): keep you signed in and protect your account.
- Language and region: remember your language, based on your approximate country.
- Your bag: remembers items you've added before checkout.
- Chat: keeps your recent chat with our shopping assistant on your device, until you clear it.
- Your cookie choice: remembers whether you accepted analytics.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you agree, we use PostHog to understand how people use Avafem, such as which pages are visited and where people get stuck, so we can improve the site. We don't use analytics to show you ads.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and we don't sell information collected through cookies.
Your choices
When you first visit, you can accept or decline analytics. You can change your choice anytime through Cookie settings in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some essential features may stop working.

Clerk may also set versions of its cookies that end in a short code (for example __session_ followed by letters), with the same purpose and lifetime. In the PostHog names, <key> stands for our PostHog project ID.
