Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Avafem LLC ("Avafem," "we," "us"), a Texas limited liability company, for your use of avafem.com. By using Avafem, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Avafem

You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.

2. What Avafem is

Avafem is an online marketplace. We bring evidence-based feminine care and wellness products from independent brands together in one place. We don't make, sell or ship the products. When you check out, you buy directly from each brand through our checkout partner, Violet. Each brand is the seller: it sets prices, processes payment, collects sales tax, ships your order, and handles returns, refunds and product warranties under its own policies, which we show at checkout.

3. How we earn money

We earn a commission from brands on purchases made through Avafem. This doesn't change the price you pay. Avafem may also show sponsored placements, where a brand pays for a featured spot. Sponsored placements are always clearly labeled "Sponsored."

4. Product information and health

Product details, ingredients and claims come from the brands. We work to present accurate, evidence-based information, but we don't guarantee that every brand description is complete or error-free. Avafem doesn't provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Our content, recommendations and AI features are for general information and shopping help only. Read product labels, and talk to a qualified clinician before using a product if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a health condition.

5. AI features

Our AI shopping assistant, intake and how-to guides use artificial intelligence and may sometimes be wrong. Don't rely on them for medical decisions. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.

6. The Beauty Bank

The Beauty Bank is our loyalty program.

• You earn credits for eligible purchases and activities, as described on the Beauty Bank page. 200 credits equal a $1 discount on Avafem.
• Purchase credits start as pending ("The Lab") and become spendable ("The Vault") after the brand's return window closes. Credits for returned, refunded or cancelled orders are removed.
• Credits expire 12 months after they're earned.
• Credits have no cash value. They can't be sold, transferred, exchanged for cash or gift cards, or used outside Avafem.
• We may remove credits obtained by mistake, fraud or abuse of the program.
• We may change or end the Beauty Bank with at least 30 days' notice. Unused credits are forfeited if your account is closed.

7. Reviews and content you post

Reviews must reflect your honest experience with a product you've used. Don't post anything false, harmful, offensive, or medical advice to others. Avafem may award Beauty Bank credits for approved reviews; credits are given whether your review is positive or negative, and reviews that earned credits are labeled. You keep ownership of what you post, but you give Avafem permission to display and use it on Avafem and in our marketing. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

8. Wellness events

Events are led by independent practitioners, not Avafem employees. Events are for general wellness and aren't medical care. If an event involves physical activity, such as yoga or pilates, you take part at your own risk and should check with a clinician first if you have health concerns.

9. Connected services

If you connect another service, your use of it is also governed by that service's own terms.

10. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Avafem: no hacking, scraping, fake accounts, fraud, harassment, or using Avafem to break the law.

11. Our content

The Avafem name, logo, design and content belong to Avafem or our licensors. You may not copy or use them without our permission.

12. Disclaimers

Avafem is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the site or the products sold by brands. Product warranties, if any, come from the brand.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Avafem isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for products made and sold by brands. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of $100 or the commission we earned on your purchases in the 12 months before the claim.

14. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas.

16. Changes

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify you by email or on the site.
